There are a million reasons to visit Hawaii; the sun, the surf, the sand, the Mai Tais…the list goes on. Hawaii is also an incredibly picturesque place, so you will undoubtedly want to take thousands of photos in order to make your friends back home jealous. If you plan on visiting Oahu, one of the most photogenic places on the island is the world-famous Waikiki Beach. Start your photo album off right by visiting one of these Instagrammable hotels in Waikiki Hawaii.

The Laylow, Autograph Collection

The Laylow is a part of Marriott’s Autograph collection, which means you can expect the level of service one comes to expect from Marriott. The hotel is decked out in vintage Hawaiian style, with warm wood tones and tropical plants everywhere. You are greeted at the front desk by a wall of hula girl ornaments while the person manning the complimentary snow cone cart makes you your favorite flavor. The restaurant and coffee shop are open air, surrounded by lovely greenery and a tiki vibe. You can sit with your coffee in the hanging eggs chairs, or gaze on the action on Kuhio Avenue as the hotel begins on the second floor on the building. The rooms are clean and airy, and have the cutest and most colorful wallpaper behind the beds, perfect for a great breakfast and bathrobe Instagram shot.

Shoreline Hotel Waikiki

Color is king at Shoreline. The colors especially pop against a mostly white space, with accents of yellow, blue, red, pink and everything in between. There is a rooftop pool with amazing views of Waikiki, complete with a huge colorful mural! You pretty much have to take photos there. Even the staircase leading up to the pool is colorful! The rooms are cute, too, each with a private balcony and a big map of Hawaii over the bed. They even give you a complimentary basket of local snacks to enjoy! You will hardly even need to leave the hotel to get all the Insta snaps that you need. Of course the beach is only a few blocks away, and that’s hard to resist.

The Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club

No list of cute hotels in Waikiki Hawaii The Surfjack is, simply put, the cutest. This hotel is heavy on the vintage Hawaiian design, which means that you’ll have a week’s worth of Instagrams before you even step outside. Of course many even consider the pool one of the most photogenic in Waikiki. With the words “Wish You Were Here” painted on the bottom, makes your friends wish they were! Most everything in the place is handcrafted, with a section on their website dedicated just to the artists who lent their touch to this retro space. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s dated! The amenities are just as modern as its ritzy counterparts who are closer to the beach. It’s only a 10 minute walk away!

The Royal Hawaiian, A Luxury Collection Resort, Waikiki

The Royal Hawaiian is the granddaddy of Waikiki hotels. Right on the beach, its nickname is the Pink Palace of the Pacific, because baby, it’s pink! The RH opened in 1927 and therefore has been leading Waikiki in luxury ever since. You can shoot photos all day long along the palm-lined paths, in the pink courtyards, and of Diamond Head. That last one might even be from your own private lanai, if you’re lucky! Don’t forget to order a Royal Pineapple cocktail (it’s comes in a pineapple!) and sit by the pool under the (pink!) umbrellas! After all, those are the perfect photos to make all your friends jealous of your Hawaiian vacation.

Prince Waikiki

The Prince is about a 20-minute walk from Waikiki Beach, but the benefits of this shiny high rise will more than make up for that. The infinity pool, which is several stories up, has sweeping ocean and city views. This alone is worth a stay, however the lack of resort fee ups the ante. The rooms are newly redesigned and each one has floor-to-ceiling windows. There are also cozy robes in each guest room, which is the perfect outfit to wear whilst sipping champagne. Do it for the ‘Gram, amiright? Ala Wai Harbor is just outside the hotel, providing an instant boat background for your ocean-themed shots. There are so many photo opportunities on the property, but it’s a bonus that the hotel itself is just a nice place to stay and is within walking distance of all the other great photo spots in Waikiki.
